SERI MALAYSIA LAWAS: Hotel Seri Malaysia Lawas, Sarawak is located at small frontier town in the northeastern corner of Sarawak state in Malaysia Borneo. The town is located in a strip of Sarawak terrority sandwiched between the Temburong distict of Brunei and Malaysia's Sabah state. it is cut off from the rest of Sarawak and is more easily accessed from Sabah. Lawas is also starting point for the logging road to Ba Kalalan in the Sarawak. One of most popular tourist attractions in Lawas is its Tamu Lawas (or Lawas Product Market), which is held every Saturday. Local products such as vegetables,fruits, and sea products are sold by locals in this market which is frequented by locals and people from neighbouring Temburong district of Brunei. Other interesting place in Lawas are Punang Beach, Sungai Bangat beach, Pa'lelau in Merarap. Mount Murud and Kampung Air Terjun (Along JalanTrusan) and Sri Tanjung Resort in Kuala Lawas. Kuala Lawas, Punang and Awat Awat are famous with its Kampung Air. Its is similar to Kampung Ayer in Brunei but smaller. the main mode of transportation is perahu (boat) to cross the river. the hotel also has multi-functional rooms ideal for conferences, meetings and other events.
